Living Wage Foundation

We are now an accredited Living Wage Employer!

When Bowling Vision was launched Graham and Dave made a respect for our people a fundamental company value.

Our original mission statement put people first. For our customers this meant outstanding customer service, fair pricing and integrity. Never raising expectations that can’t be fulfilled. For our team this meant providing a company culture which is challenging, exciting and fun.

Bowling Vision is a people over profit company

As an employer with roles suitable for entering the job market we have always seen this as an opportunity to support people. Around 10% of our current team joined us on apprenticeship schemes. Prior to the pandemic we also offered a placement to a student with special educational needs to help them to build confidence and life skills.

The pandemic crystalised our position and we were fortunate to be in the financial position to top up the salaries of our team members to 100% for the whole of 2020.

The Living Wage Foundation

The real Living Wage rates are independently-calculated based on what people need to get by. We have been long time advocates of the scheme and have been unofficially following it for a number of years. Bowling Vision has now decided to sign up and officially support the organisation alongside other brands such as Nationwide, Aviva, Nestle & Oxfam.

We are proud that being a people first organisation will always be in out DNA!
