Originally opening in November 2019, with four lanes of stunning Brunswick bowling as the central attraction, Bowlarama has always brought that club vibe with an extra edge. Quickly becoming a hotspot for those looking to play into the early hours, Bowlarama added two extra lanes to meet demand in 2021. By 2022 they had unveiled a further two – this time VIP lanes, giving guests the option for even more exclusivity. With vintage arcade games including NBA Hoops and Pinball, alongside their cocktail bar and quality food offering, Bowlarama has become a popular choice for groups seeking memorable evenings in a welcoming environment that puts customer experience first.

When Bowlarama’s entrepreneurial owner, Ian McColm, realised there was scope to expand, he embarked on a growth project utilising the available ground floor space. With a long-standing partnership with Bowling Vision – who had already delivered a tenpin bowling installation and provided ongoing support – it was only natural for Ian to explore additional activity options with us.

The creative vision for Bowlarama, combined with our expertise in activities and venue layout, resulted in the unveiling of an incredible gaming space. The first floor was treated to a bar upgrade and a new drinks menu, while downstairs we installed four high-tech interactive batting cages and three lanes of AR darts. Utilising a recent upgrade to the brand-new Sync Scoring System, the launch made for the seamless integration of bowling, batting and darts, all on one booking system.

Doubling the venue’s floor space, refreshing the bar and adding new neon lighting has not only increased the revenue generating potential but also enhanced the overall guest experience. Bowlarama are consistently seeing their venue at or nearing capacity at peak times as well as seeing a widening of their trading pattern because of the broader activity offering.

Following the success of the new activities at Bowlarama, we have also partnered with Ian on an exciting upgrade at his Tiki Bar venue. Here, we installed five AR darts lanes, delivering an immersive, tech-fuelled darts experience that perfectly complements the venue’s engaging, tropical ambience. This latest addition marks yet another milestone in the company’s commitment to innovation, customer experience and expansion.
